What is Jump Start and why should I choose Jump Start?
Before school programs have proven to be a valuable resource to each school, offering enrichment opportunities, homework assistance, and recreation to over 200 students in grades K-8 before the school day. In many cases, the program is a safe haven for students who need to be brought to school early because of family work schedules.
The Jump Start program is available at four of the K-8 schools in Malden for children in grades Kindergarten through eight. The program at the Beebe, Forestdale and Linden start at 7:00 am. Children should arrive no later than 7:05 am to be part of the activities. The program at the Salemwood start at 6:45. Children should arrive no later than 6:50 to be part of the Jump Start activities. At the end of the program the children are brought to the cafeteria for breakfast.
